Following two successful launches of the Aber-Bangor Skills Centre project in both Aberystwyth and Bangor Universities, the Skills Centre staff would love to talk to you!

In particular, we would like to hear from local businesses that are willing to share their needs and aspirations for training and skills development. University education isn't just about full-time, 18 year old undergraduate students, so if you would like to help us to shape the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training opportunities we offer, please get in touch.

We are also looking for University departments who are interested in expanding the CPD training opportunities they offer, or those who would like to develop their first CPD course.  The Skills Centre staff can support academic departments in developing and piloting new CPD provision, and would be very happy to meet you to discuss how we can help.

The Aber-Bangor Skills Centre is a HEFCW-funded joint initiative between Aberystwyth and Bangor Universities which will work with Sector Skills Councils, University staff and local businesses to develop CPD training courses designed to suit the needs of public and private sector individual employers in mid and north Wales.

The Aber-Bangor Skills Centre will be a virtual one-stop –shop offering companies a central point of contact for skills training provision across the two institutions.

If you wish to get involved with this project please contact the Skills Centre staff, either based in Commercialisation and Consultancy Services of Aberystwyth University on ccservices@aber.ac.uk or in Bangor on absc@bangor.ac.uk.
